More than a dozen vendors offering wedding services will fill Northfield Square mall this Sunday for the annual Bridal Expo 2016.
Sponsored by the Kankakee County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the expo will feature vendors including Seno Formal Wear, Reliable Limo, La Villetta at the Elks, Busse and Rieck Flowers, Plants & Gifts, Sunset Travel, Modern Woodmen of America, Mary Kay cosmetics, Quality Inn & Suites, Eric Penrod Photography, Adcraft Printers and more.
Ashley Paluzzi, the mall's Specialty Leasing and Marketing Manager, said the annual event is usually held in January, but is being held in the spring this year because it's closer to "wedding season." She said the event typically draws more than 200 brides, but that regular shoppers like to stop by as well.
"Brides will usually bring their bridesmaids or fiancés, not always willingly," she laughed. "People like to make a day out of it."
The first 250 brides in attendance will receive free "Brides Matter" tote bags that come filled with coupons and goodies, she said.
Brides also will receive cards when they arrive to participate in Bridal Bingo. The cards have spots for each vendor; vendors mark off their spots on the card after the bride visits their booth. When the bride has visited each one, she may enter her card into a raffle for a chance to win bridal prizes — 10 to 12 prizes will be given away.
Prizes include a $50 gift certificate to La Villetta at the Elks, a $30 gift certificate to Busse and Rieck, a Sandals honeymoon travel basket provided by Sunset Travel and other miscellaneous items from the other vendors.
Paluzzi encouraged all brides to attend, even if they already have some services booked.
"You can compare packages of venues, get help with financial planning or even book a photographer," Paluzzi said. "It's a good opportunity for any brides to come out and get good information."See more at:prom dresses manchester
